Car plows into plate lunch restaurant in Wailuku

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Maui residents witnessed a scary scene in Wailuku when an SUV plowed through the front of a “Blazin Steaks” restaurant on Friday afternoon, according to Maui police.
Officials said the incident happened on Eha Street around 2:30 p.m.
The restaurant owners told us the driver said she mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake.
The car was removed, and the restaurant was able to remain open.
No word on any injuries.
